History
Chakra group started its business with a tea plantation in west
Java named Dewata. This tea plantation was the embryo of the group
which is now focusing on tea production and trading.
Chakra now owns five plantations with tea as its main crop.
The Dewata tea plantation was bought by the late Mr. Badruddin in
1956 from a Dutch company Tiedeman van Kerchem and the son, Mr.
Rachmat Badruddin, had taken over the management in 1990 when his
father passed away.
Each company has been making its contribution to the growth of the
group which is now managed by PT. KABEPE CHAKRA.
